Day 6

Subject: [firstname]: You'll need one of these first.

Hi [firstname],

With all we've talked about so far, you may be tempted to rush out and start running a bunch of ads on Facebook.

However, hold on just a second! There's one thing you're going to need to set up first: A Facebook Business page.

You should have one of these already, but just in case you don't, let me explain what it's all about.

As the name would suggest, a Facebook Business Page is a Facebook page for your business. It's a bit like a regular Facebook page. It's attached to your personal profile (so Facebook knows who owns it), but its a separate page you can use to promote your business, brand, or cause.

These pages are designed for business use, so they have a number of features that are not available on regular Facebook pages such as analytics, advertising, and post scheduling.

Think of it as a cross between your Facebook page and your website. Best of all, a Facebook Business Page is free!

Take your time when you're putting this together. People will see this first when they're looking for your business on Facebook, so it doesn't pay to skimp here.

You also need a Facebook Business Page in order to access the Facebook Business Manager. This is the interface where you can set up and manage your Facebook Ads campaign. Here you can set up your business assets (pages, ad accounts, product catalogs etc.), claim business assets (pages, ad accounts, apps, etc.), get analytics, manage ads and ad types, set payment options, run campaigns and a whole lot more.

Obviously, these are things you wouldn't need to do if you just had a regular Facebook page, so Facebook don't offer it as an option there.

Warmly,

[Your Name]

PS. Tomorrow I'll talk you through the entire procedure for setting up a Facebook Ads campaign. Be sure to check your inbox then. If you're in a hurry though, you can read more in my no-holes barred Facebook Ads guide. Here's the link [link to sales page].
